GOPA, CAHTS and SOIT Exhibit Art at William Paterson Univeristy!

For the second year in a row, junior and senior art class students from three Paterson high schools:  the School of Government (GOPA,) the School of Culinary Arts (CAHTS,) and the School of Information Technology (SOIT) are exhibiting their artworks at the WPU Annual ArtStart Exhibition created by Professor Thomas G. Uhlein, WPU Master of Fine Arts Program Director.  Their art instructors are also showing their art at ArtStart: Darryl Jones (GOPA), Vivian Reyes (CAHTS) and Marilyn Simon (SOIT).  High Schools students from all over northern New Jersey and their teachers participate in this annual event.

The public reception for ArtStart will take place Saturday, February 6 (snow date is Sunday, February 7). The reception begins at 1pm and is located in the Power Art building facility
(not the Ben Shahn Center for the Visual Arts)

The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30pm. Tours of Power Art will be conducted, and the latest addition to our department, "Blossom," the carving 3D robot, will be showcased.

Additionally, senior art students who have work in the exhibition can bring their portfolios for review prior to the start of the reception to be considered for a potential art talent scholarship to William Paterson University. Portfolio reviews can also take place this Saturday in the Power Art building near noon.

All are welcome to attend this exciting event!
